Fearon & Levine, Consultants
The Mission of Fearon & Levine is to educate and train providers in the areas of practice management and payment policy, as well as facilitate appropriate payment policy by third party payers as it applies to rehabilitation services across all outpatient settings. Fearon & Levine's goal is to facilitate a more strategic approach to the delivery of and payment for rehabilitation services, while maintaining compliance with coding, billing, documentation, and regulatory requirements as well as professional standards and guidelines governing the provision of outpatient therapy services.
The partners of Fearon & Levine, Ms. Helene Fearon and Dr. Stephen Levine, are nationally recognized documenting, coding, and billing compliance experts who understand the economics of physical therapy practices as well as the need to balance the business side of rehabilitation with high standards of delivering quality health care. They combine their personal experience of owning and operating successful physical therapy practices with their extensive involvement with local and national payers as well as federal investigative and law enforcement agencies to assist their clients in successfully implementing effective practice management and payment strategies in the outpatient setting, while ensuring compliance in a complicated health care environment.
Fearon & Levine spent years assessing the marketplace and products available to therapists with respect to electronic medical records (EMR), and were unable to identify any vendor or product that focused on assisting therapists in appropriately adhering to the third-party and regulatory compliance requirements that are inherently part of today's healthcare environment. Recognizing the unique clinical decision support system embedded in the evidence-based clinical programs within OptimisPT, Fearon & Levine agreed to put their collective 40 years of compliance expertise to work as development partners in OptimisPT, bringing a level of documentation, coding, and compliance adherence to an EMR never before seen in the physical therapy profession.
